Love Letter to a New Year

Welcome 2014!

I spent a significant time offline over the holidays, and it felt great to disconnect from technology for a little while. I saw friends and family and had a lot of much-needed quiet time at home.  We celebrated a wedding. We mourned a sudden death. I've had some time to think and reflect on my dreams and plans for the coming year. I'm practising 30 days of yoga for the month of January.  It's feeling really great so far.

I curled up next to the fire one evening and stitched this in my handwriting.  A beautiful fabric gift bag, designed to hold a letterpress wedding card and cash. Would you like to see these in the shop?

One BIG goal for this Spring is to launch a new product for young children. This means I need to focus more of my attention there, and wanted to let you know that I will be blogging less frequently, at least for the next few months.

Don't want to miss when I post updated blog posts?  Be sure to subscribe to posts by e-mail, or follow The Petit Cadeau on Facebook or Twitter.

I've got some exciting things coming your way in the next few months.

(+) Things Worth Celebrating Blog Tour - if you're a blogger and want to get involved, please get in touch.
(+) 2014 Reader Survey, including a giveaway from the shop.
(+) Inspiration for filling countdown calendars and ideas for counting down to special occasions
(+) Gifting Inspiration (of course!)
(+) Input into some details for the new product line

The word I chose for 2014 is CARE, taking time to care for myself, putting more care into my family and relationships.  My gifting (and posts) will reflect this theme too I think. Gifts with quiet, thoughtful sentiments.  Gifts that reflect my new slow gifting philosophy.

I can't wait to share this year with you and to see what 2014 brings.
