35th Birthday Countdown

Welcome back dear readers, welcome back.

It's bright and shiny 2013 and I am so excited to spend a whole new year with you.  I've got many exciting posts and surprises planned for the year, so grab your gift wrap and bows, and come along for the ride!

My husband turned 35  and I wanted to do something fun and special for him.  If you have been reading the blog for a while, you might remember the fun gift that I made for his 34th birthday.

This year's gift took a lot of planning.

One gift a day for 35 days, as a countdown to the big birthday.  The gifts weren't all fancy, or expensive, and I didn't want any of the items to be useless junk.  At first I was worried I wasn't going to be able to come up with 35 small gift ideas that were thoughtful and inexpensive, but I managed!

You might be interested in doing this for someone special in your life, so I'm going to share my list.

1. Candy
2. Starbucks gift card
3. A tub of ice and 6 cold beer waiting on the deck on a hot afternoon

  1. This is such a great idea! My boyfriend is coming up to 30. This is happening and I know will melt his heart. :)

  2. Thanks so much! This was really a lot of fun to pull together - I loved doing it and so happy that I've inspired lot's of other readers to create a similar gift for someone in their life!

  3. I'm going to try this out... ! My man and I don't live together (until marriage) so I will have to prepare all of them in advance and put them in a basket for him to open each day. This is going to be so fun !!

  4. Im doing this now, A friend gave me the idea a few months ago, but his bday is on the 29th so I had a banner made that said 29days to 35. Each gift comes with a small poetic note, its our first year as a couple and he loveeeesss it!

  5. how did you get the matching numbers on the wrapping paper. where could I find that wrapping paper?
I LOVE this idea. Thank you for the inspiration

  6. This list is great. I've been making plans to do this for my girlfriend for a while now and have been trying to fill in a few gaps. Putting it together is turning out to be so much fun.
