Handmade Marathon Day #9 (Zinnia Designs)

Editor's Note:

Welcome to DAY NINE of the Handmade Marathon.

I love these ceramic dishes handmade by Tanya, they are simple, classic and fun! I particularly love the birthday plates, monogrammed dishes, and the ceramic napkin rings.  These would make a most beautiful hostess gift, or a thoughtful gift for a wedding, new home, or new baby.

About Zinnia Designs:

Hand made affordable and functional ceramic pieces for you and your home. Little trinket dishes, herb and cheese markers, necklaces, cuff links, birth plaques, signs and much more with simple impressed designs and text. Tanya hand forms each item and impresses the images and text into the clay so no 2 items are ever exactly the same. Her most popular pieces of work are personalized dishes celebrating engagements, weddings, anniversaries, and births. Her work also includes heirloom tiles of impressions of baby's hands and feet in clay.

Tanya Chin owner of Zinnia Designs graduated from Massachusetts College of Art in 1998, with a BFA in Ceramics. The “real world” came calling soon after and she began working as a Marketing Manager in 1999 thru 2009. In 2004 she began getting her hands dirty in clay and by 2008 opened her Etsy shop. In 2009 she was put to part time and realized it was time to do what she loved most. She began focusing on her ceramic work eventually allowing her to quit her marketing position. Today she busy taking care of 2 children and running a successful home based ceramics business.
