Handmade Marathon - Day #18 (SeaShore Love)

Editor's Note:

Welcome to DAY EIGHTEEN of the Handmade Marathon.

These jewelry items from Seashore Love are truly unique and one-of-a-kind. I love that Cassidy uses "found objects" from the beach to create these beautiful pieces of wearable art.   I particularly love the painted driftwood pieces - would love to hear what your favourite piece is!

About Seashore Love:

Seashore Love's mission is to create beautiful, modern, and one of a kind products from ecologically sustainable treasures found on the beaches near my house. I love scouring the coastline for sculptural and unique specimen and injecting them with vivid pops of color and pattern. Each piece is hand painted with all my love, care, and attention. Seashore Love started out by offering color dipped pendant necklaces. In two months, I've expanded our line to offer more detailed, hand painted geometric designs in necklaces, a variety of bracelets, and brooches. I'm constantly conceiving designs, and we'll be expanding our jewelry offerings while launching lines of knitwear, bags, and housewares in the next month. My main goal has always been to make sure that my designs brighten your day with a little bit of fun and sunshine. We've been receiving some incredible press, you can read about it here: http://seashorelovely.com/press/

My name is Cassidy, and I have been a professional crafter since the first day I could hold a glue stick. I specialize in jewelry design, knitting, and sewing. I carry degrees in studio art and art history, and my paintings have been displayed in museums and private collections across the United States.
