Handmade Marathon - Day #15 (Rocajo Studio)

Editor's Note:

Welcome to DAY FIFTEEN of the Handmade Marathon.

Tania creates  party invitation suites and other lovely party items for busy moms who don't have the time or the proper skills (like me!).  She also runs a great blog, with fun tips for children's parties, like this post about decorating with balloons, and this post about the perfect birthday party mix.

About Rocajo Studio

Rocajo Studio is a small handmade business offering personalized printable invitations and party decorations for big and little celebrations. It is run from my home in Belgium by me: Tania, the designer, illustrator and creative force working behind the scenes.

When you want to throw an adorable baby shower for your best friend, plan to celebrate that oh-so-important first birthday of your son or are soon-to-be-married with dreams of everlasting memories then you are looking beyond the mass produced and commercialised partyware to find something extraordinary and unique to make that day even more memorable.

Rocajo Studio offers women who lack the time or the skills to design invitations and party decorations themselves a chance to add a special touch to their event by doing just a little DIY.

My designs are clean with a touch of whimsy and are mostly illustrated with adorable and cute characters that are unique to my shop.

I believe the best way to make beautiful memories is by partying BIG: Be Involved Genuinely. Have a party-theme-brainstorming-session with your children, do a little DIY (I can help with that!) or go a little crazy and dress up but above all: participate. Perhaps even more than gorgeous pictures to look back at, the feeling of having been actively involved in the preparations and the party itself is what you’ll cherish later on.

Using Etsy as a vending platform I opened up my shop www.RocajoStudio.etsy.com in December 2011 with big dreams (becoming a work-at-home mom) and plans for the future (expanding my product line). Growing slowly and organically those big dreams come a little closer every day.

I am very lucky to have a husband who supports me all the way and to be the mother of 3 wonderful children who are my biggest motivation to make this dream of mine come true (should I add chocolate is my fuel and sleep is hard to come by?).

My business helps other women to celebrate the important events in life and allows me to do what I love on a daily basis. That is a gift in itself or un petit cadeau if you so wish... :)

  3. Thanks so much for having me on your blog Alison.
@Snuggly Ugly: Thank you! Yes, looking after the children - especially the youngest one (she's 18 months) - can be a full-time job on its own. :)
@Andrea: Thank you, I'm so happy you like my designs. One should always dream big, I hope you are following your dreams too. We'll see where they take us.
