Baby Shower Gifts: Closet Organizers

Sometimes you just *know* the perfect gift for someone.  When I heard that a good friend of mine was expecting a baby, I instantly knew one of the projects that I would make for her!

She is ultra-organized, and I knew that she would want baby-to-be's room to be the same.  I decided to make closet organizers for baby's clothes, corresponding with common baby clothes sizes - 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months.

I certainly did not invent this idea.  You can purchase closet dividers and organizers for baby's room that are similar to this concept.

I have also seen several tutorials around the internet, including these from under the sycamore. My project was very similar, I just used a different shape for the closet organizer, and added ribbon, just in case the hangers did not fit over the closet rod.

Want to create your own closet dividers?  You can complete this project in a few simple steps:
I packaged this gift up with some baby-sized clothing hangers for perfect closet organization! Do you know someone who is really organized and expecting a baby?  This might be the perfect gift for them!

  1. This is a very cute gift idea. You could also personalize them with the baby nursery colors or the baby's monogram. Going through my baby's first year right now, these would have been helpful instead of stashing everything into one drawer.

  2. Where do you get the unfinished closet organizers?
    Thanks, Pam

  3. Hi Pam,
I bought the unfinished organizers at the chain craft/hobby store Michaels (Canada) but you could probably find them at any craft/hobby store!

  4. So lovely! Will be needing these soon! :)
